[84] Nicholas Fish Esq^r Accountants Office Supervisor New York December 3 1797 Sir The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of Three hundred forty four Dollars and ninety Cents which you will please pay to Captain Frederick Frye taking [the] necessary receipts, holding him accountable, being for Pay & Subsisten[ce of] himself, Pay, Subsistence & Forage of Surgeon's mate Osborne and for [pay] of the non commissioned Officers and Privates of the detachment at Go[vernors] Island for November 1797. You will at same time receive thro' the [same] Channel a further sum of One hundred and ten Dollars & 77 Cents [which] you will be pleased to pay to Lieut^t David Holt taking his receipts [in] the like manner, being for pay of himself & Recruits for November I am &c [undecipherable] Simmon[s] Act.
