Sir
The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of Three hundred forty four Dollars and ninety Cents which you will please pay to Captain Frederick Frye taking necessary receipts holding him accountable being for pay & Subsistence himself, Pay, Subsistence & Forage of Surgeon's mate Osborne and for [pay?] of the non commissioned Officers and Privates of the detachment at Governors Island for November 1797. You will at same time receive thro' the Channel a further sum of One hundred and ten Dollars & 77 Cents which you will be pleased to pay to Lieut David Holt taking his receipts in the like manner, being for pay of himself & Recruits for November.

The amount of the former will be placed to your Credit on the books of this Office. Three Hundred, ninety Dollars and fifty three Cents, you will receive the amount of the latter being Three hundred forty four Dollars & [undecipherable] Seven Cents in the usual manner from Nicholas Fish Esq Supervisor on your giving him the necessary Receipts holding yourself accountable
