Pittsburg 24th November 1799
Sir,
I have received your letter of the 17th instant together with one addressed to the Img. Done to Colo W Jaupens. The former is delivered and the latter shall go forward without delay. Hamilton's Waggons arrived yesterday in charge of Davis Buchanan who as usual was unable to return without money, says he expected that Hamilton would have sent by post your order on me for 150 dollars. I have therefore in consequence of your letter this apparent distress advanced to him 120 dollars for which his Buchanan's Receipt is enclosed &c. which you will please to give credit. Several Packages have come to hand directed per Morganjer and which I am preparing to ship, but am unable to determine whether the whole of the supply intended this Season for that post are yet arrived or not. You will therefore see that it is of importance to me to have early information of Stores intended to be shipped from this post. I am Sir, Your Obedt servt
