Sir.
Inclosed you will receive the Musters of the 4th regiment & to the 31st July last; likewise those of the Artillery & Cavalry;
The payment to those corps have been Completed agreeably to your orders to include the 31st of March last; I will as soon as possible forward yours pay and receipts 18[undecipherable] of the Same.
It is not of my power to forward any despatches to the Pay Master General. [Ewan?], as there is no communicati[on] between the place & Detroit, or even N.W. of this. In consequence of which I have thought proper to [retain?] two Sets of Muster. Pay & receipt rolls and wait your further orders.
