Sir
Pittsburg 16th November 1797.
I have this Moment recieved your letter of the 10th instant covering a letter from Colo Forrest together with Seely Hulings' receipt for 150 Dollars of cooperage, to all of which I shall in due time attend. But the invoices of Hulings' loading said to be enclosed in your letter has been omitted at coleing it. You will therefore be pleased to send it by next con-veyance. I shall pay the necessary attention to the Gun carriages, but shall want a pair of Gun Blocks to assist in moving these heavy Guns. I have this day found it necessary to draw on you in favor of William Christy for 1000. Dollars at 10 days sight which be pleased to pay & discharge as usual.
Colo. Forrest says he will attend to my Land Business But as it is probable he may neglect it — until it is too late I beg to beg of you to see that it is not neglected.
I am, very Respectfully,
Sir your obed. Serv.
Samuel Hodgdon esq.
Philadelphia.
