Sir Your letter of the 10 Instant requiring information relative to the Vouchers necessary to be produced for the purpose of liquidating the charges against you in Col. Nevills abstract I received this day, and in answer thereto have to inform you, that it will be eventually requisite for you to transmit to this Office the receipts of the men composing your Company, as well for their State as United States pay — for I presume (it being the case with other New Jersey Officers who have already attended to the Settlement of their accounts) that you have received monies from Wm Dayton, the State agent, on account of the pay allowed by the United States.
It may be proper to remark that the monies paid by the State of New Jersey to her militia employed on the Western Expedition in the Year 1794, has been refunded to the Treasurer of said State by Col. Nevil Q.M.G. to the Militia Army, Vouchers shewing the disbursements for monies received for that purpose must be forwarded to this Office — You will therefore be pleased to act accordingly. I am &c
