It is the Tennessee — the Cheapest [undecipherable] of delivery would be at Kaskaskias & [undecipherable] — at these places they will deliver for a bout eight Dollars, [undecipherable] hundred — at Natchez [undecipherable] 10 Dollars — in the Tennessee for the difference of Carriage between [undecipherable] & Knoxville — to purchase Lead in that Country would certainly [undecipherable] money [undecipherable] to the United States — please to mention the Circumstance to the Secretary of War, I should be approve of the measure — a Contract can be made for the different posts. — I have enclosed to you by this post some [undecipherable] Certificates a small part of which belong to me, the ballance is to people in this Country, who have some time past Lodged the money [undecipherable] I was particular in my other letter, but to meet your views of having a bill for the Same, I now enclose one for the whole amount, being 3520 Dollars 6 Cents — which includes the [undecipherable] of [undecipherable] Dollars [undecipherable] Cents & the ballance is for the Certificates sent this time.
