Your letter of the 24th ultimo is received and conveys one addressed to Caleb Swann which is immediately going forward
Boats for transportation of the Detachment coming forward will be in complete readiness by the 18th instrant
Mr. Samuel Hodgdon has advised me there 24 and 6 pdr 18 Pounders coming forward— dismounted and which he has directed me to provide for having mounted at this post: But he has not informed me whether these Guns are to continue here or to be sent forward in the latter case particulars means of transportation ought to be provided in due form
