D^rs whereas it is 582^th. exclusive of Hoontz, loose rect. & in the rect. for January, February & March 1797 you deduct 61^th. D^rs for payments made to different men of your company by Major Craig, when it should be only 60^th. D^rs.— The receipt of Samuel Patrick in the last receipt roll is defective, his mark not being witnessed; it is nevertheless admitted to your credit, but you will be pleased to guard against similar omissions in future.
