I received your letter of the 11th A[undecipherable] return to you the receipt of Ensign George Stro[undecipherable] for Twenty dollars and that of Lieut. Percy R[undecipherable] One hundred dollars the former Gentleman is w[undecipherable] the Army and the latter at the Natchez [undecipherable] therefore probable that either will settle his a[undecipherable] at this Office. I would therefore recommend you lodge them with Caleb Swan Esqr P.M.G. who is most likely person to be able to make the St[undecipherable]
On examination of your account[undecipherable] mitted by Caleb Swan I find an error of Forty t[undecipherable] dollars and 43/100 in your favor it arises on the sta[undecipherable] made at this Office 31st March 1794 you will therefor[undecipherable] pleased to call on Mr Swan for that sum having b[undecipherable] mail directed him to pay it to you.
