Pittsburgh 6^th Nov^r 1797 Sir I am under the necessity of troubling you about some more land business in which I am concerned — a small part of which I am interested in, & a part belongs to others who had the titles made in my name — I shall be much obliged to you to attend to the following Circumstances, Viz. The two Certificates N° [undecipherable] & 761 in the names of my [undecipherable] & Dudley Woodbridge, on which there remains due the [United] States 1809 Dollars 6¾ Cents which is to be paid on or before the seventh day of December Next — Dudley Woodbridge for his part has sent the inclosed bill for [undecipherable] Dollars 66 Cents, & there will then remain to be paid for me 305 Dollars 6¾ Cents, which you will please to pay, taking for both Woodbridge's payments, the necessary receipts on the back of the Certificates, & you will charge me with the money paid on my account. The two Certificates N° 48 & 149 [undecipherable] owned by M^r Addison & others, but has been taken in my name — There remains due on these two Certificates 1560 Dollars, which money has been some time since deposited by them, with one [undecipherable] you will please to pay this sum, taken the receipts as before written, which you will charge to my account. I hope you will excuse the extraordinary trouble I occasion, & you on this business, & permit me to beg your early attention & it is, as a failure in the payment at the proper time, is a forfeiture of the land — The money on the two last Certificates mentioned is payable on or before the 5^th day of December Next. —— I have drawn on you of this date my bill N° 50 A fifteen days sight in favour of Elec Williams for 500 Dollars — I enclose to you a General return of D^r Martin Store to the latest period to which I have received returns from the different posts. —— I am Sir, your [undecipherable] Humb.
