War Office November 6. 1797 Sir, I enclose you an order on M^r Harris for fifty suits of Artillerists Clothing for Lieut David Hale whose recruiting rendezvous is at Governor's Island near New York. As M^r Hale is now in want of some part of this Clothing for Recruits he has already inlisted; perhaps if the expence of carriage is not much greater it might be well to send a few suits by the way of Amboy — I am Sir very respectfully Your obed^t servant H.
