I am under the necessity of troubling you about [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] in which I am concerned — [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] to be much obliged to you [undecipherable] to the following circumstances, viz:
The two Certificates Nos 85 & 87 are in the names of my self & Dudley Woodbridge, & on Suite there remains due the United States 1619 Dollars [undecipherable] [Cents] which is to be paid on or before the [undecipherable] day of [Decr] next — Dudley Woodbridge for his part has [paid] [undecipherable] allowed [undecipherable] for $13 [undecipherable] 56 Cents of these [undecipherable] their remains to be paid for me, 805 Dollars 49 [undecipherable] [Cents], I desire you will please to pay, [undecipherable] for [both] the [undecipherable] of my Payments, the necessary receipts on the [account] of the Certificate & you will Charge me with the money paid on my account —

I hope you will excuse the extraordinary trouble I occasion to you in this business, to me to beg your early attention to it, as a failure in the Payment at the proper time, is a forfeiture of the land — The money on the two last Certificates mentioned is payable on or before the 5th d[ay] of Decr next. —
