I received your letter of the 27th ultimo enclosing the subsistence accounts of the Officers at West Point which have been examined and found free of error, they are now returned to you enclosed agreeably to your request to enable you to make the necessary settlements with the claimants, you will observe that you did not transmit Lieut Dransy's account for this object, nevertheless the amount is included in the remittance now made to you, you will however before payment obtain an account from him sworn or certified in a similar manner to the others. —
In future it will be necessary that the muster rolls be certified by the two senior Officers of the garrison at West Point before the Pay rolls can be acted on.
You will receive from Nicholas Fish Esq Supervisor New York the sum of One thousand and three
