Accountants Office November 2^d 1797 Sir On receiving your note with the enclosures, caused a further examination to be made, in respect to the claim of Nathanels Alexander for land, and found the opinion given by me in February last, only extended to his services as Mate in the Hospital Department in North Carolina, but it appears he was transferred to the Hospital Department South Carolina in which Service he continued to the 1^st of August 1783 when he returned, and is recommended for land as one of the Quota of that State, but before the Warrant can be obtained it will be necessary for him to identify himself to be the same person who performed the Services, then he can empower any person to receive it for him I am Sir very respectfully, Your Obed Servant [undecipherable] Simmons [undecipherable: Acct.
