With my letter of the 18th instant, I neglected to transmit you the following receipt, Viz:
Cap.t A. Y. Nicoll's receipt dated 3d August 1797, } letter
for three hundred and eighty five dollars. - - - - } 385.
You will now receive the same, and it will cancel mine to Daniel Stevens, esquire, Supervisor of the District of South Carolina for the like sum.
