I transmit enclosed a receipt of John Habersham Esquire dated September 30th 1797, for one hundred dollars, and fifty seven cents, applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Department of War in the State of Georgia; which receipt is to be annexed to a Warrant to be issued by the Secretary of War on the Treasurer, in favor of said Habersham, who is to be charged and held accountable for the same in the Books of your Office. —
