Sir
The several sums of money received by you on account of Lieut Col. John Baldwell, Joseph Lewis & Patrick Brown, being yet unaccounted for, altho they have been written to requesting them to forward such vouchers as would enable me to close their accounts — I have to request that you will use your influence with those Gentlemen to prevail on them to send to this Office the necessary vouchers to separate them from the charges on the books thereof. Should this not be done prior to the first week in January next their names will appear on the abstract of delinquents to be laid before Congress at that time.
