I received your letter of the 20th Instant enclosing the receipt of Capt. Staats Morris for three hundred, forty nine Dollars ¥ 60, which amount will be pass=ed to the credit of your account at this Office.
The Treasurer of the United States will re=mit you the sum of Two hundred dollars which you will be pleased to pay to Capt. Staats Morris and take his receipts for the same being for the recruiting service.
