Sir,
Ensign Bootz recruiting at New Brunswick has furnished me with a return of the quantity of articles he would probably want for the recruiting service, previous to his being ordered from his rendezvous, I enclose you a requisition on Mr. Harris for them.
You will be pleased to have them transported to New Brunswick as soon as convenient —
The Secretary has written to me that Lieut Steele at Carlisle has heard nothing of his clothing. I have informed Mr. McHenry that I am confident they have been sent. Please to inform me whether I have been right in my assertion
