The pay of George Weiver has been withheld, his claim does not appear to me to be well founded, he must have known that Capt Price had no power to give him any military orders after his resignation, and if he is neither mustered or reported on any muster roll on command, his pay cannot be allowed, however all manner of justice shall be done to him when reference can be had to the necessary vouchers to ascertain the merits of his claim, which is not the case at present, owing to the removal of the Office of the Register of the Treasury where they are deposited.
