Sir.
Inclosed I transmit you the receipt of Lieutenant Shoemaker for two hundred dollars paid him agreeably to the tenor of your letter of the 11th instant. — that of the 11th announcing a remittance of 349 ⅔ dollars for the pay of the Whetstone point Garrison was duly received. but though I have seen Capt Morris, He has not yet called for the money and his receipts are of course not obtained.
