You will herewith receive, sundry Detachment Muster and Pay Rolls for the Posts of ^Fort Saint Simons and Pickering, which have been compared and examined by me, and receipted for by Ensign Hugh M^cCall Pay Master; and are specified in the following Documents, Viz^t, Memorandum of payments made to Ensign Hugh M^cCall, Pay Master for the Federal Troops in Georgia dated 30 September, 1797. } D. C^ts 1294.68. A copy of which is also transmitted herewith. I have likewise paid M^r John Whitney his account for pay and rations from 1^st January to 30^th June, 1797, amounting to one hundred and ninety seven Dollars ⁷⁷/100 which is herewith enclosed.
