Description

Simmons urgently requests account details regarding monies advanced by Pressley Nevill to William Taylor, late paymaster to Major Lewis' Virginia Militia Cavalry, for pay of militia to suppress an insurrection in Pennsylvania 1794. Money was advanced to Taylor by warrants, who then paid Major Lewis' regiment from Virginia. Simmons gave specific details on the appropriate manner to file account.
