Your letter of the 11th instant was not received till yesterday two oclock consequently too late for that days mail
I have requested the Superintendant of Military Stores to forward immediately to New Brunswick, Twelve stands of Arms complete Twenty Knapsacks Twenty Haversacks and twelve Canteens.
In order to receive pay for your men it will be necessary that you should be properly mustered. As there is no Officer at your rendezvous to perform this duty you are hereby authorized to do it. Enclosed are two Muster Rolls, which after being [undecipherable] out you will swear to before a Justice of the peace in your vicinity you will then transmit one to the Accountant of the War department and the pay will be remitted either to you or [sent to] at Trenton to St [undecipherable] should your [undecipherable] more from New Brunswick —
