to this Office for liquidation & your letter of the 10th Instan
there is included one of Daniel Depaul sure in which he
credits the sum of five hundred dollars received for a b
on Joshua Smith as I presume that sum was originally
advanced to Mr Smith [strikethrough: and presume] from the Treasury Dep
ment, he having no account on the books of this Office
I have to request in that case that I may be furnished w
the necessary certificate for transfering that sum to the
books of this Office. I am &c.
