Octob. 18. 1797 C^r Your letter of the 11 instant was not received till yesterday two oclock consequently too late for that days mail I have requested the Superintendent of Military Stores to forward immediately to New Brunswick, Twelve stands of Arms complete Twenty Knapsacks Twenty Haversacks and twelve Canteens. In order to receive pay for your men it will be necessary that you should be properly mustered. As there is no Officer at your rendezvous to perform this duty you are hereby authorized to do it.
