Sir,
Lieutenant Marschalk has been directed to march with his Recruits to Pittsburg, he has written to me that he wants Sixty knap sacks twenty five stands of Arms and Accoutrements two Horsemans and eight common tents and two Serjeants and twelve privates Suits of Artillerists Clothing to complete his party. I request that you will be pleased to have those articles forwarded to him imme diately. He says he will wait for them at New Brunswick. The Secretary is exceedingly anxious to have Lt Marschalks party move forward as expeditiously as possible —
