Sir
Your letters of the 26th & 29th ultimo, accompanied by an Invoice of Clothing now on the way is received. Early information of Stores coming forward enable me to make the proper provision for their transportation from this post to their final destination. James Hamiltons Waggoner arrived on the 2d with Stores for Colo Strong, [undecipherable] and as usual in great need of Money. In consequence I have advanced 20 Dollars to him for which his receipt is enclosed. That sum you will therefore be pleased to place to my credit.
I have this day found it necessary to draw on you in favor of John Wrenshale at 15 days sight which please to pay and charge as usual to the D. M. G's account. N.B. At almost all the posts there are complaints of Scarcity of Writing Paper, Quills & Inkpowder.
I am Sir Your Mo. Ob. Ser. &c.
