[Cap^t Tru[x]ton] Near Downingstown Oct^r 1797 Sir, Mr Francis sent me the enclosed letter from Mr Bagge, by which it would appear, that two, if not three, of the anchors for your Ship, were to be forwarded to Baltimore in the course of this week — I am Sir, with great Respect [M^r France Fletcher] Sir, Near Downingstown 6 Oct. 1797 The necessity there is for completing the Ship Constellation in the shortest possible time, makes it proper that I should request that you will use your utmost dilegence to put her in a situation to leave Baltimore, by the most prompt, full and undivided exertion of your abilities, talents and force — Should she suffer by any want of Industry or exertion upon your part, it will be necessarily and justly be ascribed to you.
