I presume you sent me Mr Ardens letter which is now returned to obtain my opinion respecting the charge [undecipherable] of the [undecipherable] — I do not know what the custom is — but it appears to me that his proposal to you is, reasonable one, more especially, if he will leave [strikethrough: the] [undecipherable] question of what ought to be considered as the market price also to Arbitrators — You know better what is right. & will I have no doubt do it —
