New York Sir The Treasurer of the United States will remit the sum of Three hundred sixty two dollars and thirty two which you will please pay to Captain Frederick Frye at Governors Island taking his duplicate receipts holding him accountable, being for pay and subsistence of himself, pay subsistence and forage, of Surgeon's Mate Osborne, and pay of detachment under the command of the said Captain Frye September 1797. W^m Simmons Acct^r Captain Frederick Frye Governors Island, New York Sir Accountants Office October 4^th 1797 I duly received your letter of the 2^d Inst^t enclosing receipt roll of the detachment under your command for Aug^t and Muster and Pay Rolls of the same detachment for September the amount of the former Three hundred fifty six dollars and thirty five Cents will be passed to your Credit on the Books this Office, the amount of the latter Three hundred sixty two dollars and thirty two Cents you will receive as usual from Nicholas Fish Esq^r Supervisor New York on giving him the necessary receipts holding yourself accountable.
