I received your letter of the 21st Ulto and in reply thereto, I have had your Account Current stated a Copy of which is enclosed for your examination, by it will appear a balance due by you to the United States of Two Thousand six hundred seventy eight dollars & thirty Cents, which amount cannot be passed to your credit till you transmit the receipts of the 32 privates paid by Ensign James Flinn, who received of you Eight Hundred Dollars being amount of pay due to them, as well as the receipts of the individuals for the One Thousand eight hundred seventy eight dollars 100, received by you for the Pay &c. of your Company discharged 7th august 1792 —
I hope you will loose no time in procuring and sending forward the receipts for the above, till which time you will be held accountable at this Office
