Pittsburg 22nd September 1797.
I have enclosed herewith a Copy of Invoice of Ordnance, Ordnance & Hospital Stores shipped on board two flat bottomed boats and sent forward on the 8th instant in charge of a competent and skilful Boatmaster addressed to the Commanding Officer at Fort Mafsac whom I have required to give Mr Robinson instructions and afsistance, if necefsary, to enable him to proceed to Natchez or other post occupied by the Troops of the U.S. on the Mifsifsippi.
The Packet and letter accompanying this arrived this moment by express from Detroit via Presqu'isle.
