I am now to acknowledge the Receipt of your letter of 30th August, and agreeably to your Instructions have paid Capt. Michael Kalthim, Seven Hundred and Sixteen Dollars and fifty five Cents, being for the Pay of himself and the detachment under his command (including Forage of Surgeons mate Dobbs) at Fort Johnson for the months of May and June 1797, and herewith enclose you his receipt therefor.
