[Capth Tho. Truxton]
I have your letter of the 13 instant but being yet indisposed and back from the remnant of a bilious fever, I cannot be very particular in my Answer.
I shall take an early opportunity to converse with the President upon your claim for extra expence during your superintendance of the building of the Frigate, and beg you not to suppose that it will be refused, if shown with propriety to be granted, or to construe the delay it seems to have experienced into a denial of justice.
It is some time since I desired Mr [undecipherable] to have brought round from Portmo to Balto a heavy Anchor for the Frigate Constellation. I have written him to day to know when it may be expected.
