Your Letter dated the 18.th of May and forwarded by Doctor Gallafspy the 27th August. informing Me that I stand charged on the Books of Your Office with One hundred twenty nine Dollars and Sixty Cents has just come to hand. before which I had not an Idea that my Account remained Unsettled or that My Term of service had not accounted for all the Pay I have received, I fancy that on examination of My Receipts on the Pay-Rolls, it will appear that I have not received any Money 'till it became due after the expiration of the three Months for which I received the above Sum. advanced at Philadelphia The 10.th of Sep.t 1792.
