W^m Simmons Acc^t --- Capt W^m Littlefield of the Artillerists & Engineers West Point Department of War Accountants Office September 12^th 1797 Sir I received your letter of the 4^th Instant covering the Inlistments of Henry Hannah and Solomon Haws accompanied with receipts for seven dollars part bounty paid to the former which with twenty five cents for attesting to the Inlistment of the latter will be repaid you on application to Nehemiah Freeman Lieutenant and Temporary Pay Master at West Point out of any unappropriated monies which may remain in his hands.
