I wrote you the 26th ultimo enclosing to your [care]
two letters — one for Mr Samuel Treadwell the other for Mr
Potts requesting you would be pleased to direct and fo[rward]
them— I now enclose herewith [strikethrough: here] a letter for Mr John[–]
and one for Nicholas Long Esqr both of your State and requ[est you]
will direct and forward them to their several places [of abode]
the said persons being charged with monies at this O[ffice—]
I wish to give them an oportunity of forwarding the ne[–]
-cessary vouchers or refunding the balance to the Tre[asury]
of the United States, in order that their names may not
appear among the delinquents, in an abstract of all re-
-ceivers of public monies from 1st January 1791 to 1st [Jan]
1797 which I am to lay before Congress by the first [of]
January next, pursuant to a Resolve of the House of
