seventy nine cents being the amount of Pay Rolls for Pay yourself and detachment from 1^st Jan.^y to 30^th June 1797 [in]sive also the sum of Two hundred and eighty four d[ollars] being the estimate of pay of the same detachment for the July and August 1797 for which sums you will be pl[eased] to transmit him the necessary Receipts holding you accountable. The increase of the pay of lieutenants only [com]menced the 1 July, four dollars have accordingly been [deduc]ted from the June Pay Roll where your pay is made u[p to] 30 Dollars I am &c.
