Enclosed is an estimate of expenditures for the Quartermaster's department that Hodgdon should examine for accuracy. Currently, Matthew Ernest is acting as Quartermaster General and has authority to draw money for expenditures as needed. General Wilkinson has ordered a schooner to be built at Detroit, pending the approval of the Secretary of War.
