Since mine of the 9th instant I have drew on you the following bills, Viz

Gen[eral] at Detroit — He has my authority to draw [undecipherable] from time to time, as he may require [undecipherable] for the expenditures in the Q.Mast. Depart[ment], numbering his bills regularly from N° 1 upwards, & keeping you constantly advised.
General Wilkinson has ordered a Schooner of about twenty tons burden to be built at Detroit the ensuing winter, should it meet with the approbation of the Secretary [of] War — I have written to him on the subject. — [I] will please to call on him, & should he [undecipherable] the [undecipherable], you will buy all of [undecipherable] [undecipherable] as [will be requisite] to come from there without the [undecipherable] [undecipherable] — The articles [undecipherable] for the [undecipherable] Detroit will regulat[e] [and] will be wanted for the new Schooner — In addition to which there will be required a quantity of paint white, yellow & black, & two barrels of
