You stand charged on the Books of this Office with monies received by you and which remain yet to be accounted for.
Pursuant to a Resolve of the House of Representatives of 3d March 1797 I am required to lay before them within the first week in January next — an abstract of the names of all the receivers of Public monies from 1st January 1791 to Jany 1797.
In order to prevent your name from appearing as a delinquent I have to request you will without delay account for the monies received either by producing the necessary Vouchers or refunding the balance to the Treasurer of the United States —
Your early attention to this object is particularly requested.
