You stand charged on the books of [undecipherable] Office with monies received by you and which [undecipherable] to be accounted for.
I am requested in pursuance of a [undecipherable] tion of the House of Representatives of 3d March 17[undecipherable] lay before them within the first week in January nex[t] an abstract of the names of all receivers of Public monies from 1st January 1791 to 1st January 1797. —
In order to prevent your name from appearing as a delinquent, I have to request you will as speedily as possible account for the monies you have received either by producing the necessary Vouchers or refunding the balance to the Treasurer of the United States.
Your attention to this object is particularly requested as early as possible. —
