Sir
In pursuance to a Resolve of the Ho of Representatives of 3d March 1797 I am required to l before them within the first Week in January next abstract of the names &c. of those who stand charged w monies at this Office, and being desirous to effect as ma settlements as posible previous to that period I have request you will be pleased to present the letters s herewith agreeably to their superscriptions & obtain i your power a final settlement of the accounts of Ca Edward Butler & Lieutt Peter Grayson in which case will loose no time in transmitting the necessary &c. to enable me to close their accounts.
