In pursuance of a Resolution of the House of Representatives of 3^d march 1797 I am requested to lay before them within the first Week in January next an abstract of the names of all receivers of publick moni[es] from 1 January 1791 to 1 January 1797. In order to prevent your name from appearing as a delinquent, I have to request you will without delay account for the monies you reci[eved] either by producing the necessary vouchers or refundi[ng] the balance to the Treasurer of the United States.
