In pursuance to a Resolution [of the] House of Representatives of 3 March 1797 I am req[uired] to lay before them within the first Week in Janua[ry] an abstract of the names of all receivers of Public mo[ney] from 1 January 1791 to 1 January 1797. In order to prevent your nam[e] appearing as a delinquent I have to request you w[ill] without delay account for the monies received by you [by] producing the necessary vouchers or refunding the [balance] to the Treasurer of the United States Your immediate attention is [par] ticularly requested.
