You stand charged on the Books o[f this]
Office with monies received by you and which [are]
yet to be accounted fore
In pursuance of a Resolution of the Ho[use]
of Representatives of 3d March 1797 I am requested to la[y]
before them within the first Week of January next an
abstract of the names of all receivers of Public monies
from 1 January 1791 to 1 January 1797.
In order to prevent your name
from appearing as a delinquent I have to request you
will without delay account for the monies you rec[eived]
either by refunding the balance to the Treasurer
of the United States or producing the necessary Vouch[ers].
Your attention to this object is parti-
-cularly requested as early as possible. —
