Herewith you will receive the acct. current of Lieutt David Hale accompanied with a letter to him open for your perusal — also a letter to Captain Alexr Thompson on the subject of his account — — as it appears by Muster Rolls lately received from West Point that Lieutt Hale is on furlough, I have to request you will be pleased to seal the letter & transmit the same to him at his present place of abode — the other you will give Capt Thompson as early as possible.
