Dyson's receipt for [one] hundred thirty eight dollars & ⁷²/₁₀₀ which sum will be [placed] to your Credit accordingly: — the other acknowledg[ing] the receipt of my letter of the 5^th Inst. Sam^e &c. H^m Simmons acc^t Cap^t Edward Miller v Accountants Offi[ce] Middletown. Conn^t August 10^th 1797 Sir I duly received your letter of the [undecipherable] enclosing three receipts for bounty paid your Re[cruits] amounting to Twelve dollars & ⁷²/₁₀₀; being one cent [short of] your statement which will be placed with those hereto[fore] received, ready to be included in your Recruiting A[ccount] when it shall be proper to forward it.
