I return the account to you for his certificate to be annexed that the sum charged was expended on the Journey and his rations must be deducted for the time; after which you will pay him the balance taking his receipt for the same — But it is to be understood that no precedent is to be formed from this allowance as the case appears a peculiar one, the men having been stationed at their different posts and Capt Turner having received their pay it became necessary to forward the to them.
